About Lunqeriva
Lunqeriva is a New Zealand food blog focused on simple, seasonal recipes that highlight local ingredients — from pāua and green-lipped mussels to kūmara and mānuka honey. We create approachable recipes for busy Kiwi cooks, with vegan and gluten-free options alongside classic NZ favourites.
Seasonal recipes, local tastes
Simple techniques, bold NZ flavours.
Our mission
Lunqeriva exists to make New Zealand ingredients accessible at home. We test recipes for busy evenings, develop allergy-friendly swaps, and spotlight suppliers and growers across Aotearoa. Our content mixes quick meal ideas, curriculum-style guides (basics, stocks, sauces), and seasonal round-ups.

Maya Thompson
Maya grew up cooking with her whānau in Wellington and specialises in approachable seafood and plant-based swaps for Kiwi staples.
Contributors & collaborators
We work with a small group of chefs, nutritionists, and photographers across NZ. Contributors write seasonal features and test recipes to ensure reliable weeknight results.
